Day 3

Today I went with one of the doctors to the Multi-Drug Resistant Tuberculosis Ward. The patients are required to wear masks.

The doctor started yelling at the patients for not using the masks properly. She said "What is the point of even wearing a mask if you're going to remove it from your face every time you need to cough and say something? HUH?" In response: "Sorry Madame." Hehe.

Here is the man with pain once again. I got a video of him pedaling his feet from the pain, and a video of his son helping him.

Pieter fixed new plaster of paris casts on all the members of the Breakfast club.

Finally got them all to smile!

Kalyani sat in the corner and spoke with me for a while. She told me she misses her kids but everyone moves on.

Her middle finger has been shortened.

Kalyani jokingly whispered to me that Pieter is super diligent about keeping things neat and tidy. I wonder if this is a professional habit he picked up from my grandpa. It would explain why my dad is this way too.

Daytime picture of the view from the residence I am staying in. I told my cousin I liked the blue sky in the photo and she told me she couldn't stop staring at the garbage on the ground. Ha.

It's been super, super hot lately. Pieter told me 149 people died in the area from heat stroke yesterday.

This is one of the classrooms in the school where my place of residence is. The students had already left by the time I thought to take this picture.
